Mastana is CUHCS’s flagship event, one of the biggest student Asian cultural in the UK featuring the best talent from around Cambridge and beyond . This ranges from Indian twists on comtemporary and classical Western acts, classical Indian dance and music, comedy and much more. First initiated in 1996, previously the show has been attended by over 1000 people from all over the country, raising in excess of £10,000 for various Indian and local Cambridge charities.

Mastana 2017 was a resounding success, reviewed of one our best ever shows, featuring award winning comedian Paul Chowdhry and broadcast by leading music chanel B4U. The show raised money for Indian charity Akshaya Patra and Cambridge charity, Winter Comfort.

A student show of this scale requires a large commity and significant planning. With the show usually held in the middle of Lent term (late February or early March), preparations begin at the beginning of Michelmas term (October the previous year).
